GENERAL INFORMATION
The NCYO Brass Ensemble is our premier brass program and is an exclusive opportunity connecting elite instruction with more experienced brass youth musicians in the local area. The ensemble is directed by Thomas Burge, a member of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. Placement in the ensemble is evaluated and determined by an audition.
RehearsalsWeekly on Mondays at Bailey Middle School
- Call time: 7:00pm
- Rehearsal: 7:15-8:45pm
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
- Three (3) major or minor scales of applicant’s choice
- Two (2) contrasting pieces of applicant’s choice showing range and ability
DETAILS & PROGRAM FEES
Rehearsals for the NCYO Brass Ensemble will be held on Monday nights at Bailey Middle School in Cornelius from 7:15-8:45pm. Please reference the calendar on our website for more information. Students should plan to arrive 10 minutes early to all rehearsals to allow time for instrument setup and warmups.
- After scholarships, annual tuition for most students is $450 and includes participation in all NCYO programs, pending placement
