GENERAL INFORMATION
NCYO’s entry-level woodwind ensemble is the perfect fit for wind students just beginning their musical journey. Students in the Junior Woodwind Ensemble will be given the necessary tools to achieve excellent fundamental technique while being introduced to ensemble playing. The ensemble is directed by Nick Ritter, bassoonist with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.
RehearsalsWeekly on Mondays at Bailey Middle School
- Call time: 7:00pm
- Rehearsal: 7:15-8:45pm
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
- Three (3) major or minor scales of applicant’s choice
- Two (2) contrasting pieces of applicant’s choice showing range and ability
DETAILS & PROGRAM FEES
Rehearsals for the NCYO Junior Woodwind Ensemble are held on Monday nights at Bailey Middle School in Cornelius from 7:15-8:45pm. Please reference the calendar on our website for more information. Students should plan to arrive 10 minutes early to all rehearsals to allow time for instrument setup and warmups.
- After scholarships, annual tuition for most students is $450 and includes participation in all NCYO programs, pending placement
